Now you have come to the page, Choose variable. This page give you the oportunity to select which variables and values you want to display in your result of the table. A variable is a property of a statistical unit. The page is divided into several boxes, one for each variable, where you can select values by click to highlight one or more values. It always starts with the statistics variable which is the main value counted in the table.

This data set reports the emissions of greenhouse gases and air pollutants broken down by industries (classified by NACE Rev. 2) plus households. The greenhouse gases are weighted according to their global warming potential and are expressed in CO2 equivalents.

For details regarding Eurostat flags, such as provisional or estimated data, please see referred Eurostat table (table: env_ac_ainah_r2) and related metadata.

reporting country

Finland

Includes Ă…land.

Norway

For non-EU Member States, Eurostat does not estimate emissions of greenhouse gases for one additional year beyond the mandatory reporting. For this reason, there may be missingness in the latest year compared to the countries that are EU members.

Nordic region

Includes the following nordic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden. Last observation carried forward (LOCF) is used as imputation method if a country does not have data for a given year.

EU

From June 2020: EU refers to EU27_2020, which is the European Union with a fixed area composition of the current 27 countries.

air pollutant

Total

Total amount of greenhouse gases refers to the CO2 equivalent emissions of Methane, Nitrous oxide, Carbon dioxide, Hydrofluorocarbones, Perfluorocarbones and Sulphur hexafluoride.

reporting country: EU , air pollutant: Nitrous oxides (N2O) , activity: Information and communication , time: 2019
